DERA ISMAIL KHAN, April 02 : Federal Minster for Information and Broadcasting, Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the demand for Saraiki province would be a part Pakistan Peoples Party manifesto during the next elections.
She was addressing a public rally in Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) on Saturday. She said they would support the cause of Saraiki province. PPP believes in the politics of reconciliation, she added.
She condemned the suicide attacks on Maulana Fazalur Rehman, saying that the war against terrorism and extremism would continue. She warned those who were waging war against humanity and said these people would be defeated as Pakistan is the country of Jinnah and not the land of cowards.
The minister further said that 86000 Watan cards have been distributed among flood affected people of DI Khan. She said the people of D.I. Khan were with the PPP saying politics and religion were part of the same chain and who ever understands Religion he can understand the poli8tics. She said despite security situation, the PPP leadership visited flood affected areas across the country and provided relief to the affected families through relief camps. She said every citizen has the same right on Pakistan as of PPP leadership and Jiyalas. She said it is the respons9ib8ility of the government to protect the life and property of the every citizen.
The Information Minister paid tributes to the people of D.I.Khan saying the city has played the role of front line in the war on terror. She also said that people of North Waziristan were playing an important role in thefight against terrorism and they would not be left at the mercy of terrorists. She vowed to continue the war against terrorism till the menace was completely eliminated from the country.
