QUETTA, April 15 : Unidentified armed men shot dead a labourer of Steel Mill and injured another here at Saryab Road on Friday.
According to police, workers of a Steel Mill were on their way to a mosque when unidentified armed men on motorbike opened fire at them. As a result, a worker named Asghar Ali was killed on the spot and another sustained injuries, who was shifted to hospital.
Later, the mill workers observed protest against the killing and blocked the National Highway and a railway crossing. The protesters forced a train to stop at Saryab station. The angry workers protested the death by laying the body in the mid of the road. They chanted slogans against the authorities and demanded the arrest of the culprits.
