CNG association announces indefinite strike across Punjab from Wednesday

LAHORE, April 12 : Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) association on Tuesday announced that all CNG filling stations across Punjab would be closed from today (Wednesday) for indefinite period to protest against two days a week load shedding of gas.

Talking to media persons Chairman of CNG Association Ghayas Paracha said that all CNG association in Punjab have decided to hold strike for indefinite period and would keep close their CNG stations across the Punjab from Wednesday because the government did not fulfill their demands for ending the gas load shedding .

He said that owners of CNG have faced loss of Rs billion due to gas load shedding in the province.

He asked President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raza Gilani to resolve the issue of weekly outage of gas from the CNG stations in Punjab

"The petrol pumps association will also support our strike by suspending petrol supply. Our strike will continue till our demands are accepted," Paracha added.
