FAISALABAD, March 30 : Two minors were killed by a mentally retarded person in Chak No 245 on Wednesday.
Police said that Usman, a mentally retarded person, took away with him Mohammad Sharif, 4, and Rabia, 4, children of Mohammad Haris, and nephews of Usman, to the bushes where he hit the heads of both the children with stones and later set them on fire by sprinkling oil on them. Both the children were killed on the spot.
Police recovered both the dead bodies and shifted these to local hospital for autopsy. Police also arrested Usman and registered a case against him.
Talking to media persons, Mohammad Haris, father of both the minors, said that he was well aware about Usman's mental condition but despite that they allowed their children to go with him. Usman was prior examined by the doctors and had been declared mentally ill.
