LAHORE, March 01 : The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday strongly condemned the increase in POL prices and said that corrupt leaders were charging the poor masses for their lavish spending.
In a statement, Imran Khan said that instead of reducing tax on the petroleum products the government has placed additional burden on the shoulders of suffering people of the country.
"In the presence of corrupt leaders the poor and deprived nation of Pakistan can't expect good news from their rulers in the near future," the PTI chief said.
Imran said that people in the corridors of power were spending lavishly billion of rupees on their illegal and luxurious practices while the languished nation was being deprived of bread which was their only sources of survival.
He said that the differences between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) were aimed to meet personal ends, adding that at present none of the political party is working for the welfare of the masses.
