FAISALABAD, Feb 28 : The talks between Faisalabad DCO and textile factory owners failed on Monday over suspension of gas supply and they announced to staged a protest and lay siege of the Sui Gas regional office.
DCO Faisalabad Naseem Sadik held negotiations with a 25-member delegation of 6 main textile sector's organizations for 2 hours. The administrative officials were of the view that owners and workers protests against gas load shedding could turn violent and tried to persuade them to call offthe protest rally and sit-in but the factory owners rejected administration's demand.
The industrialists said that 50 sessions of talks held with administrative authorities of the department as well as with the Prime Minister during the last 3 months failed to provide relief.
They said that load shedding started for 2 days a week which peaked to 5 days and they were unable to run their businesses by closing the industries for 5 days in a week.
