ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 : A Malaysian Islamic banking expert team has lauded Helping Hand for Relief and Development's (HHRD) interest free micro finance program being started to help the deserving families to set up business for their livelihood and sustainability.
The team, which was headed by Dr. Lal Akram Din Chairman Islamic Shariah Research Academy Kuala Lumpur, visited the organization central office here on Monday.
Fazl-ur-Rehman HHRD Country Director was also present on the occasion.
The visiting delegation took keen interest in various on-going programmes of the organization, and was given detailed briefing by Dr. Shabir Hussain Head of Islamic Micro Finance and Arshad Mehmood about microfinance programs like Murabahah, Madarba and Kurz-e-Husna.
The leader of the delegation was greatly impressed by Murabahah program, saying that it could be made more effective if it replicate the Malaysia model.
