KARACHI, Feb 28 : Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has increased load shading duration in different residential areas of Karachi on Monday while gas supply to various areas was not yet restored to normal status.
According to KESC source, fours hours load shading was observed in the industrial area of the Karachi on daily basis. At least three to four hours load shedding was already reported in urban areas of Karachi while more increase in the hours of load shedding will dishearten the cricket lovers who will not be able to see cricket world cup matches and other citizens will also face difficulties.KESC sources said that one hour additional increase was expected in the load shedding hours.
Meanwhile, due to acute shortage of gas, gas load shedding duration was also extended which added fuel to the difficulties of the locals already suffering from prices hike and other critical problems.
