DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 04 : One more school teacher was gunned down as two teachers have been gunned down in target killings incidents here within 18 hours. The district administration banned riding of motorcycle in entire city after killing of teacher.
According to details, a school teacher identified as Ahmed Ashfaq was on his way toward school for his duty that some unidentified armed men opened fire at him on Tuesday, killing him on the spot.
Police cordoned off entire area after incident and started search for culprits. Dead body was shifted to hospital.
Two more persons identified as Munir Hussain Shah, a Professor at Gomal University and Noorudin were also shot dead by unknown gunmen in the recent wave of target killing in D.I. Khan on Monday.
The district administration decided to impose ban on riding of motorcycle in the whole city for preventing increasing incident of target killing.
People lodged strong protest against increasing of target killing incident. They demanded the government to take action immediately against target killers, the people said that government should take steps for arresting real culprits and controlling the incident.
People said that they were facing tenses and fears due to continuing target killing incident within two days in the area.
