ISLAMABAD, Jan 04 : Political Secretary to President Zardari, Senator Faisal Raza Abidi has said that Pakistan People Party (PPP) leadership have reposed complete confidence in leadership of Premier Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and those conspiring to remove him would be disappointed.
Talking to a private TV channel here on Tuesday, Faisal Raza Abidi said that Premier Gilani enjoys solid support of the party leadership and activists and those against his presence in PM House could merely attempt to remove him through no-confidence motion, if they could.
He said that PPP has always taken allied parties into confidence prior taking decisions regarding issues of national interests and party leadership had never closed doors for dialogue with opposition parties, as a part of its agenda of national reconciliation.
Abidi said that they were satisfied with their three-year performance, despite crisis after crisis. In fact they put the country on the path of development.
Abidi hoped that the situation would settle down as steps confront the challenges being faced by the country were underway.
The Political Secretary to the President said that serving the nation was the top priority of PPP agenda and it would make no compromise in this regard.
