Wen Jiabao arrves in Delhi

NEW DELHI, Dec 15 : Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday afternoon on a three-day visit to India.

The special aircraft carrying the Chinese leader, who is accompanied by a large business delegation, landed at the Air Force station, Palam, as Indian state minister for commerce and industry and Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao welcomed him.

Wen begins his trip to India, his second to the country, on Wednesday afternoon with a visit to the Tagore International School, where he will informally interact with schoolchildren and tell them about Chinese culture, Tai-chi and calligraphy.

He will be holding formal talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday.
