Four killed in violence, road mishap

KARACHI, Dec 15: Four persons were killed and four others injured in separate firing incidents and a road mishap in different localities of the Karachi on Wednesday.

Police Wednesday recovered bullet riddled body of an unidentified youth near Timber Market, Eidgah Police Station jurisdiction.

Police said that the deceased was shot to death over personnel enmity.

A motorcyclist identified as Javed 28 was killed and a passerby injured after being hit by speeding troller near Labour Sqaure, Sight Area.

The body and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

A police cop identified as Ijaz Ali deployed at security of Muharram processions at M. A. Jinnah Road died mysteriously. The deceased hailing from Kimari Market area was serving in Police Training College Razzaqabad. Body of an unidentified woman was recovered by police from Malir
Cantonment limits. The deceased shot to death over brutal torture.

In Alflah area of the city unidentified armed assailants opened fire at Mehtab Alam 25, leaving his injured. Unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire at Mumtaz Khan 26, in Bin Qasim Town injuring him critically. Usman 45, were injured due to firing of unknown persons in Majeed Colony area of Landhi.

All the injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile city police during a raid in Orangi Town have arrested two culprits and recovered arms including two TT pistols and rounds from their possession.

The detainees were identified as Imran and Nawaz while their two accomplices Asif and Liaqat managed to flee. The detainees and fleeing culprits were wanted to police in various crimes.

Separate cases in all incidents have been registered at concerned police stations and investigations were underway.
