KARACHI, Dec 18 : At least two persons were killed in different incidents of firing and three women sustained injuries here at Maripur and Qasbah Colony areas of the mega city on Saturday, police said.
In Norani Masgid area of Qasbah colony, unidentified armed men gunned down a person identified as Saueed Mohammad 35, at the spot. Police said that the incident may be outcome of old enmity or an incident of robbery.
In another incident a dead body beyond recognition was recovered from deserted area in Maripur. Passerbies spotted the dead body and inform the police who shifted the dead body to hospital for autopsy. Identity of the deceased was not yet ascertained.
In Defense area, at least three women sustained critical injuries as a result of accidental fire which was fired by taxi driver Dilawar Khan through his licensed pistol. Three women sustained injuries when they were going in taxi and were identified as relatives of the taxi driver. Police
has not registered case of the firing incident.
Karachi police have claimed the arrest of two notorious dacoits who were arrested from superhighway. Both the detainees were involved in various heinous crimes of car-lifting and robberies. The detainees were identified as Shahid and Shamsher.
Police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
