QUETTA, Dec 18 At least three persons were killed and 16 other injured in various part of Balochistan, police said.
According to details, gunmen opened indiscriminate fire at two persons in Turbat, killing them on the spot. Identities of the deceased could not be ascertained.
All the business centres, markets and shops were closed in the city in protest to the killings, while panic gripped the city after the firing incident.
Police and rangers cordoned off the area and started patrolling in the area to maintain law and order.
In a road accident occurred near Luck Pass in district Mustang, a speeding pick up overturned, killing a kid and injuring 16 others. The injured were shifted to civil hospital for medial treatment.
Meanwhile, Anti Narcotic Force (ANF) overnight stopped a truck at check post in district Mustang area. They found more then 100 kilograms of heroine from the truck, police said.
The culprits manage to flee from the scene in darkness, while police seized the truck and started investigation.
