ISLAMABAD, Dec 23 (INP): The PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Thursday deferred moves to dislodge Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani on the request of provincial governor.
Nawab Zulfikar Magsi met Shujaat and former Chief Minister Punjab Ch Pervez Elahi twice in 24 hours and requested them to defer their attempts to dislodge the provincial government.
The Governor told the PML-Q leaders that prevailing situation in Balochistan is not condusive for a change in the existing set up.
Shujaat told INP on Thursday that during the meeting, Magsi requested him that situation in the Province would further deteriorate if the Chief Minister was changed and that efforts to remove him should be deferred.
Shujaat said they do not want instability in any province and desire to strengthen democracy. He said it is their effort that law and order and political situation should move in the right direction.
He said they have the required majority in Balochistan and can change the Chief Minister but would not take any step in this direction for democracy and political stability in Balochistan.
