LAHORE, Dec 23 : A petitioner Thursday moved the Lahore High Court (LHC) against former information minister MNA Sherry Rehman for proposing amendments to the blasphemy laws.
Petitioner Azhar Siddique pleaded the court that Sherry rendered disqualified for the parliament membership under Article 62 of the constitution after presenting amendment in the blasphemy laws.
He said that no one including the President and the Parliament have powers to reduce the punishment for the offence of blasphemy.
