Pilgrims deprived of luggage due to PIA mismanagement

KARACHI, Dec 22 : Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has completed the entire Hajj operation 2010 in 251 flights. However, the last flight which landed on Wednesday in Karachi with two hours late has left the pilgrims in tension as their luggage was left at Jeddah Airport.

“The luggage left in Jeddah would be brought by another flight today at 10:00 pm,” the PIA officials told the pilgrims who had left the airport in distress.

According to the PIA authorities, 468 pilgrims arrived via flight no PK-3260 after a two hours delay.

Sources said that PIA authorities in Jeddah fail to handle the pilgrims' baggage properly. Many hajjis have to leave for their hometowns without their belongings.
