Huge drugs seized, one killed, 5 injured in coal mine mishap

QUETTA, June 07 : The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) have seized drugs worth million of rupees in two raids at Chaghi and Noshki areas on Monday, official sources said.

The sources said that ANF officials on a tip off raided a house and seized 27.69 kilograms of drugs from Chahsindan district of Chaghi and arrested a person.
The drugs were stated to be worth of 6.7 million dollar in the international market.

In another raid ANF personnel stopped a jeep at Noski-Quetta road and recovered 60 kilograms of hashish which was kept in secret cavities in the jeep which worth 2.2 million dollars in the international market. The driver of the jeep was also arrested.

Meanwhile, a labor was killed in the coal mine explosion which went off due to accumulation of gas, when the workers were busy in the mine killing one and injured to five others at Marwar area some 80 kms away from Quetta .

The deceased was identified as Fazal Hussain hailed from Shangla district of Khyber Pukhtoonkhaw. His body was driven to his native town for burial while the injured were shifted to Bolan Medical hospital for treatment where two of the minor injured were sent to home after treatment.

“Gas accumulated in the coal mine which caused explosion,” the inspector mine said.
