LAHORE , May 19 : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday decided in principle to check the degrees of its parliamentarians, and constituted a committee to scrutinize the degrees.
Sources privy to details told INP here that the PML-N leadership had decided to scrutinize the degrees of its MNAs and MPAs and had directed theirs MNAs and MPAs to resign immediately if they posses bogus degrees.
The party also warned that action would be taken and no ticket would be given if a member is found guilty of such crime in future.
On the other hand, the PML-N leader Senator Pervez Rashid , while confirming the reports said that Member of National Assembly from Faisalabad Abid Sher Ali had been given task of scrutinizing the degrees and he would accomplish the task soon and submit his report to the party’s leadership.
