PPP awards Senate ticket to Dr Hafeez Sheikh

ISLAMABAD , May 19 : Pakistan Peoples Party on Wednesday decided to award Senate ticket to the Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh on the seat vacated by former Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen.

According to details, PPP leaders had decided to pitch Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh for the Senate seat vacated by former Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen. The PPP leadership had started contacting with the allies for electing Dr Sheikh without contest.

After his probable win in the Senate elections, Dr. Hafeez Sheikh would be given portfolio of Finance Minister.
