One killed, three injured in a foiled dacoity attempt

HUJRA SHAH MUQEEM, March 09: A man was killed and three others injured when a gang of dacoits attacked residence of former member District Council in Hujra Shah Muqeem late Monday night.

According to police, a gang of some eleven dacoits attacked residence of former member District Council Mian Shah Behram Bodla in village Lomarri at the outskirts of the city.

The dacoits equipped with modern weapons tied the security guards of the Behram Bodla and starting looting everything.

The dacoits opened fire at residents while they resisted leaving Farm Manager of the landlord Behram Bodla killed whereas three persons including two guests injured in cross firing.

The injured included Aslam Wattoo, driver of former member District Council, two guests Syed Ghulam Ali Karmani and Syed Jaffer Shah, whereas Farm Manager of Mian Behram Shah identified as Lal Din was killed in the incident.

MNA Mian Khurram Jehangir Khan Wattoo, former MPA Mian Mohazzam Jehanzeb Wattoo and DPO Okara Bilal Saddique Kamran reached the spot soon after getting information of the incident to express their solidarity with the victim landlord.

The police was trying to search the culprits through door to door search operation, however, no arrest was made till the report filed. A case has also been registered in concerned police station.
