ISLAMABAD, Feb 16 : A passenger was arrested at Benazir International airport here on Tuesday morning after two knives were recovered from his shoes during search by the Airport Security force.
PIA spokesman Sultan Hassan said the passenger Iqbal Azhar was taken into custody by the ASF during routine checking and he had not boarded the plane. He said the flight PK 791 left for Birmingham on schedule. He dispelled the impression that the arrested passenger had succeeded in boarding the plane.
Later the ASF and law enforcement agencies started investigation from the arrested passenger.
