Hamas MP: Israel finalizing Judaization of Al-Quds

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Hamas lawmaker Fadl Hamdan revealed an Israeli plan to build a new settlement on Palestinian lands in the neighborhood of Beit Safafa, south of Jerusalem.

In a press release on Monday, Hamdan warned that this plan is aimed to appropriate more lands and bring more Jewish immigrants to Jerusalem and its environs, describing it as the final stage of Judaization of Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Ir Amim society confirmed that the Israeli municipal council in Jerusalem approved a plan to build 549 settlement units in the neighborhood of Beit Safafa.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Al-Agha, the Palestinian minister of tourism and antiquities, called on the Arab and Muslim peoples to organize protests to pressure their governments to intervene to defend the Aqsa Mosque and the Islamic holy sites in occupied Palestine.

Agha called during a news conference on Monday for strongly dealing by all means necessary with the Israeli decision to make the Ibrahimi and Bilal Mosques part of the Jewish historical sites.

He recalled that this dangerous decision was taken days before the 16th anniversary of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre which claimed the lives of 29 Palestinian worshipers praying inside the Mosque.
