SSP Motorway urges commuters to consult motorway helpline prior traveling

CHAKRI, Jan 08 : SSP Motorway Police, M-2 North, Muhammad Ali Babakhel has appealed the people traveling on motorway to consult Motorway Police Helpline 130 prior making any journey on motorway.

In a statement issued here on Friday after observing fog situation at motorway, Babakhel said that citizens should avoid traveling at motorway however if necessary to travel should get latest information regarding fog so as to assure safety during traveling.

He urged the drivers to use front and back fog lights and keep minimum possible speed for safe and peaceful journey.

The SSP M-2 North said that drivers should never stay at motorway without allocated bus stops however in case of any emergency drivers should stop at extreme left and use hard shoulder and double indicators so that vehicles following should get information.

He said that motorways police has already made necessary arrangements for safe traveling and after visibility becomes zero motorways was closed to avoid any mishap.
