ISLAMABAD, Jan 02 : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has taken a serious notice of the media reports about the price escalation of sugar in the country.
According to a press release, the PM Saturday directed the Minister for Finance to immediately convene a meeting of the committee formed by cabinet on the sugar to thrash out all the relevant issues with regard to reported price hike of sugar.
He also asked the Minister to come up with recommendations to ensure easy availability of the commodity at reasonable rate throughout the country. INP
