JAFFARABAD, Jan 26: At least five persons including DPO and three police men were injured in a remote-controlled bomb blast at a bus stop in Jaffarabad, police sources said.
The bomb was planted on a motorbike parked near Allahyar bus stop in Jaffarabad, which went off as soon as the vehicle of DPO Jaffarabad Farid Shah approached.
Police sources said the DPO was on his way to office from home.
“Four person including DPO Farid Shah and three policemen were injure din the blast,” police sources said.
Police said it was a remote controlled device blast and target was the DPO, who used to use this route for his office.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospital, where the injured DPO is said to be out of danger.
Heavy contingents of the police cordoned off the area and the road was blocked for traffic.
