KOTALI, Dec 31: A driver was killed, while seven of a same family including women were injured as a passenger jeep turned turtle in Kotali, police sources said Thursday.
According to police, the passenger jeep carrying eight persons was on its way to Moharr from Kotali when it turned turtle near Kotali due to poor conditions of Kotali-Moharr road.
As a result of accident eight persons sustained critical injuries who were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital Kotali where driver of the jeep succumbed to his injuries while others injured mostly women and young girls were stated to be in critical condition.
The locals expressing their anger over the incident said that they have repeatedly appealed the district administration for repair and maintaining the road but no heed was paid to their demands and dozens of accident have occurred on the same road which claimed several lives.
The police have registered a case into the incident.INP
