Railway crisis intensifies, 58 trains cancelled

KARACHI : The Railways crisis has deepened further as various trains traveling from Quetta, Peshawar and Karachi to Lahore were delayed by two to nine hours while few trains’ departure was annulled due to unavailability of locomotives.

Delayed trains included Taiz gaam, Awami Express and Jafar Express and passengers suffered due to delay in departure and arrival of trains. The Pakistan Railway crisis has been posing great problems to travelers for long.

According to the sources, Korakoram express and night coach were delayed by 7 hours. While Quetta Express was delayed by nine hours.

All trains traveling to Peshawar were delayed by hours while various trains of Sialkot passenger service, which travels from Lahore to Sialkot, has been cancelled.
