Terror bid foiled in Karachi

KARACHI: Police thwarted a terrorist attack in Karachi as the bomb disposal experts defused a 15 to 20 kilogramme remote-controlled bomb device at the residential colony of Jinnah Hospital on Friday.

A suspected bag found at the city's Jinnah Hospital's staff colony today. The hospital administration informed the police about a suspected bag. The police and the bomb disposal squad reached to the spot and found a remote-controlled bomb device. The bomb experts de-fused the device.

Security arrangements at the mosques of Karachi have been stepped up after the aborted terror attack.
