Quetta killings: Tajik couple laid to rest

QUETTA: Two of the five foreigners killed in Kharotabad by the FC troops were laid to rest after their namaz-e-janaza was offered near Quetta on Sunday,.

Two of the five foreigners killed by Frontier Constabulary forces in Kharotabad last month on suspicion of being suicide bombers were identified on Saturday by a Tajik couple as their son and daughter-in-law.

The couple, who visited the mortuary of the Bolan Medical Complex to recognise the bodies, was accompanied by a Tajik diplomat. They had filed an application with the police surgeon of the hospital, requesting him to hand over the two bodies.

Their son was identified as Noman and daughter-in-law as Aleta Sera, both Tajik-nationals. The couple was buried in Jabl-e-Noor graveyard near western bypass in the Quetta city.

The funeral prayer, led by former provincial amir, Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, was attended by a large number of people belonging to different walks of life.
