KARACHI, April 09 : Lawyers in Karachi observed 'black day' in memory of the gloomy day when their six colleagues were burnt alive in the city court, three years ago.
On April 9, 2008 terrorists attacked the City Court, Malir Court and Tahir Plaza to burn the lawyers' offices. Nine people were killed in the incident, including six lawyers. The victims were locked inside an office in Tahir Plaza and were burnt alive.
The lawyers wore black strip on their arms and remained away from courts due to which no judicial work was carried out.
