KARACHI, April 08 : Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, Sindh Home Minister who is on leave, predicts on Friday that there would be no more target killings and extortion in the city during his absence.

Mirza alleged that targeted killings and extortion was a conspiracy against him, adding that his opponent deliberately created such situation in Karachi.

"I am thankful to those who strive hard to remove me.", Mirza said sarcastically.

He said that his removal from his office was the demand of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the coalition partner in Sindh government, adding, I can talk freely now.

Mirza advised traders of Karachi to avoid giving charity to anyone in the name of processions and public gatherings.
