LAHORE, April 18 : The government has announced two days weekly gas supply cut for the CNG stations in the Punjab region while industrial sector will face three days gas load-shedding.
The gas supply to CNG stations in Punjab region was suspended from Monday at 6am which will continue for the next 48 hours.
According to the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), the gas supply to the CNG stations in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal and Multan will remain closed until Wednesday 6am.
While the CNG stations in Faisalabad, Bhawalpur and Islamabad will remain closed from Friday 6am to Sunday 6am.
Earlier, the All Pakistan CNG Association went on strike against the two-day gas suspension for CNG stations but the SNGPL remained persistent with its load-shedding schedule.
On the other hand, the government has announced three-day weekly gas load shedding for the industries in Punjab.
According to the notification issued by Sui Gas authorities, the order has been issued to close the industries for three days.
The industries in Lahore, Sheikhupura and Sahiwal will face three-day gas load-shedding from April 17 to April 20.
Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur and Islamabad region will face gas load-shedding from April 20 to April 23.
Meanwhile, the textile owners in Faisalabad have announced to reject more than one-day gas load-shedding.
