Four killed in Karachi incidents

KARACHI, April 18 : Four people were killed and four others injured in separate incidents in different areas of the city on Monday.

According to police, in Muhajir Camp No2 of Baldia Town, unidentified assailants shot dead a youngster.

A robber was killed while three of his accomplices managed to flee in exchange of fire with police after it approached them at Maripur Road while they were busy in picket looting. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem.

One person was killed and another injured in a collision between two motorcycles at Mai Kalachi Road in Sultanabad area. The deceased was identified as Abdullah and the injured as Abdul Rehman, who were rushed to nearby hospital.

In Mangopir area near Northern Bypass a speedy car crushed to death one person whose identity could not be ascertained. The car driver flees the scene after the accident.

A driver and cleaner of a mini bus were injured after their vehicle turned turtle due to over speeding at Super Highway near Ahsanabad.

At Marripur Road, a passenger coach hit a passerby Jalil Ahmed leaving him critically injured. Police arrested the driver and took the vehicle into its custody.
