PTI to protest against release of Raymond Davis on Friday: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD, March 17 (INP): The PTI announced holding of protest rallies on Friday, against release of Raymond Davis, the killer of innocent Pakistanis.

He urged Pakistanis from all walks of life to join the protest demonstrations/ rallies particularly the youth and the students. The rally in Islamabad will start from Lal Masjid after Juma prayers and will be led by the PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad at the party's Central Secretariat, the PTI Chairman Imran Khan condemned the release of Raymond Davis under a deal between the US government and the PML (N)/PPP governments.

Imran Khan stated that the release under mysterious circumstances is another betrayal by Punjab/Federal governments and the nation demands to know, Why was no case registered against Raymond Davis for committing an act of terror under the anti terrorism act?.

Why was no case registered against Raymond Davis for alleged espionage, a crime against the state, which carries a maximum sentence?

Why did the federal/provincial governments reportedly coerced the families of the victims to accept Diyat as alleged by their lawyer?.

Since the US government has denied paying any money to the affected families, who paid the money and from which government account? And, why was tax payers' money used to free an alleged killer of innocent Pakistanis? .
