LHC summons CCPO Lahore in missing case of families of Faizan and Faheem

LAHORE, March 21 : The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday directed CCPO Lahore Aslam Tareen to appear in court on March 22 and present a report on the disappearance of the families of Faizan Haider and Faheem, the two young men who were shot dead by CIA contractor Raymond Davis on January 27.

The heirs of the two youths went missing after they allegedly received blood-money for pardoning Davis.

On March 18, Advocate Malik Munsif Awan, a former lawyer of the families, had filed a petition seeking the recovery of the missing families.

Advocate Awan had said that neither federal nor provincial governments tried to know the whereabouts of the missing people. He had also requested the court to summon the authorities and direct them to recover the missing families and produce them before the court.

During today's hearing, Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry directed CCPO Lahore to appear in court on Tuesday (March 22) and inform it about the two families.
