KP govt to challenge De Haven's release on bail in PHC

PESHAWAR, March 19 : The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday decided to challenge the release of US national Aaron Mark De Haven on bail in the Peshawar High Court (PHC).

According to the government sources, an application has been prepared to challenge the American national's release.

The government is likely to challenge the bail decision in the PHC within three days. De Haven was released after being granted bail by Additional District and Sessions Judge Altaf-ur-Rehman on March 7.

He was, however, ordered not to leave the area without informing the police until his case was concluded.

De Haven was said to have been working for a private security company and was detained after he outstayed his Pakistani visa. He was arrested last month from a residential area in Peshawar.
