Hatf-2 ballistic missile successfully test fired

ISLAMABAD, March 11 : Pakistan on Friday successfully test-fired nuclear-capable, short-range, surface-to-surface Hatf-2 ballistic missile, the ISPR said.

The Hatf-2 ballistic missile can hit target at the distance of up to 180 kilometres (110 miles).

"Hatf-2 can carry nuclear as well as conventional warheads with high accuracy," the military said in a statement, adding the test was successful.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Khalid Shamim Wynne witnessed the missile test.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani felicitated the scientists and army for the successful test.
