Govt launched suicide attack on masses by raising POL prices: Saad Rafique

ISLAMABAD, March 01 : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq has said that the PPP-led government launched a suicide attack at the masses by raising the POL prices.

Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Tuesday, he said that the government should improve tax system and stop theft of taxes in national institutions for saving deficit instead of burdening the masses with POL price hike.

He said that the government intentionally created gas shortage in Punjab, adding that masses of the province would come out on roads if the problem was not resolved and the PML-N's voice was not heard in the parliament on this particular issue.

The PML-N leader said that the government would be responsible if the people came out in protest against gas load-shedding.

Meanwhile, the PML-N chairman Raja Zafarul-Haq said that instead ending corruption from the country the government fired drones on the people by hiking in petroleum product prices.

He said the PML-N would oppose the hike in POL prices inside and outside the parliament.

He said the government should act sensibly and reverse the decision of hike in POL prices.
