WAH CANTT Feb 28 Unknown miscreants set on fire a NATO oil tanker onG.T.Road here on Sunday-Monday night. The incident took place at Bahtar More on GT Road when tanker No DMR 571 was stopped and put on fire when it was on its way to Afghanistan.
According to police sources the front part of the tanker was completely destroyed by the fire. Police said that there was about 300 to 400 litres of oil in the tanker while it had the capacity of 50,000 litres.
On information, DSP Taxila Circle and SHO Wah Cantt reached the spot but the driver and cleaner of the Tanker escaped from the scene. It is being said that they sold the petrol and set the tanker on fire to hide the facts. Police has started search for the driver and the cleaner.
