PESHAWAR, Jan 27 : Peshawar police foiled a smuggling bid of drugs to Punjab and arrested two smugglers on Thursday.
On a tip off, the Peshawar police barricaded all the entry and exit roads of the city. During a checking in Sarband area on Bara Road, the police recovered seven kilograms of heroin and one kilogram hashish from the hidden parts of a car (LHR-690).
The police also arrested two smugglers identified as Ayub and Hussain, residents of Gujranwala.
Police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
