ISLAMABAD, Dec13 : The United States Embassy in Pakistan strongly condemned Monday's attack on a school bus in the Bana Mhari area of Peshawar. At least two people, including one child, were killed and several others were injured during an explosion near the bus.
The deliberate targeting of innocent children is reprehensible at any time the fact that this attack took place during the holy month of Muharram makes it particularly cruel. The Embassy hoped that those responsible for this attack would be brought swiftly to justice.It expressed sympathies with the families of the victims.
The people of the United States will stand by Pakistanis as they continue working to bring peace and stability to their country, it said.
