Three security personnel among six killed in Karachi

KARACHI, Dec 24 : Six including three security agency personnel were killed and several others injured in separate incidents of violence in different areas of Karachi.

In Gulistan-e-Johar area near Kamran Roundabout, unidentified armed assailants shot to death two persons. The deceased were identified as Dad Rahim and Nadeem.

Two women were injured after two unknown gunmen opened fire at a mini bus in the same area. The attacks sparked tension in the area.

Meanwhile, police have recovered two bullet-riddled bodies from Bakhthawar Goth in the limit of Sukhan Police Station. The deceased were identified as employees of an intelligence agency.

Dead body of Shaukat Feroz, a Rangers official, was found near the office of Meteorological Department.

In Saudabad area of Malir, armed robbers opened fire at Nisar Iqbal, 23, upon resistance during a robbery attempt leaving him critically injured. He was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.

Another man, whose identity has not been ascertained, was killed in firing of unknown armed men in Shah Latif Town of the city. Meanwhile, police have arrested three robbers after an encounter at Super Highway. Police also recovered three TT pistols and looted valuables from
their possession.
