Three drowned in oil filled tank in Multan

MULTAN, Dec 04 : Three persons were drowned while another was rescued as four labourers fell in an oil tank during routine work in an oil factory located on Vehari Road of Multan on Saturday.

Rescue workers said that four labourers during their routine work in an oil factory suddenly fell in an oil filled tank.

Rescue personnel were called in soon after the incident but three labourers died and one labourer was rescue alive. The rescue labourer was shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan where according to hospital sources his condition was serious.

Makhdoon Rashid police registering a case into the incident have initiated the investigations. Meanwhile, heirs of the deceased labourers along with the bodies held protest demonstration against oil factory administration on Vehari Road which led to blockade of the road. They demanded the authorities to take action against oil factory administration for poor security arrangements for the workers and compensating them for the loss of lives; of their dearones.
