Robbers looted cash, electronic items worth millions of rupees in Karachi

KARACHI, Dec 10 : Robbers struck at several electronic shops situated in Kohinoor Market near Abdullah Haroon Road in Karachi and decamped with electronics appliances worth millions of rupees on the night falling between Thursday and Friday, police said.

The robbers broke locks of scores of electronic shops in Kohinoor Market, looted cash and electronic appliances worth million of rupees. When shopkeepers came on Friday morning they saw their shops with broken locks and stocks missing. They informed police officials about the incident.

Police claimed that though the robbers broken down the locks of the shops but they did not loot anything. However, the police arrested a security guard on suspicion of his involvement in the incident, while another guard managed to escape.

Shopkeepers protested against the incident as well as claims of the police that nothing was missing and blocked Abdullah Haroon Road.

The agitated shopkeepers said that robbers barged into scores of shops and taken away cash and other electronic items worth millions of rupees. They demanded early arrests of the criminals involved and compensation to their losses.

The police shifted the arrested security guard to respective police station and also register a case of robbery against him as well.
