KCCI condemns attack on registrar Sukkur IBA

KARACHI, Dec 10 : Muhammad Saeed Shafiq, President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, in a press statement, condemned the violent attack on the Registrar of Sukkur Institute of Business Administration, Zahid Hussain Khund, and urged the Government to ensure safety and security of educationists.

Saeed Shafiq lamented that unscrupulous elements are making haunting attacks on educationists since last several months and he termed it a conspiracy to weaken the education system.

Saeed said that in the recently held Sukkur IBA Alumni Reunion, he announced a scholarship by KCCI and ensured support for producing professional human resource to serve the trading and industrial sectors. Saeed informed that he as President is member of board of governors of over 17 private universities including IBA and in the relevant meetings he provides productive input, apprising the needs of corporate sector and industry in respect to producing professional human resource.

Saeed stated that KCCI's Health & Education Sub-committee is very active to promote professional and higher education and endeavouring to link the academia with industry through KCCI's Connect-Pakistan programme.
