Rehman Malik meets Fazl-ur-Rehman

ISLAMABAD: JUI-F Chief Fazlur Rehman's demand for change in Prime Minister's office has warmed up political scene in the frosty winter.

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Fata parliamentarians visited Maulana Fazlur Rehman's residence on Wednesday morning before his departure for Saudi Arabia.

Rehman Malik in the meeting at breakfast discussed the reservations of the coalition partner JUI and asked Fazl to discuss problems with the government instead of criticizing the person of the Prime Minister, sources said.

Fazl-ur-Rehman said that the prime minister has relieved Azam Swati from the cabinet without information to him. He told Malik that he would not step back from his demand for removal of the prime minister.

A 10-member delegation of Fata parliamentarians including Munir Orakzai, Hameedullah Afridi and Senator Saleh Shah also called on the JUI-F chief and urged him to desist his stance against the prime minister.
