PPP trying to calm MQM: Fauzia

KARACHI, Dec 28 : Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary Information Fauzia Wahab has said that nothing in politics is final and her party is trying to remove the concerns of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, Fauzia Wahab said that MQM decision to quit the federal cabinet was aimed at recording their protest concerning the government policies over certain issues.

The PPP Secretary Information said that MQM being a coalition partner is justified to record its protests and PPP would spare no efforts to remove its allied party’s concerns.

She said that some anti-democracy elements were misinterpreting the MQM decision to widen the gapes between two parties but PPP leadership would not let such conspiracies to prevail.

The PPP leader said that her party leadership has always followed reconciliation in the larger interests of the country and it would not let its strong coalition partner to quit.

Fauzaia said that President Asif Ali Zardari has already asked the party leadership to avoid issuing disputed statements against leadership of other political parties and gave us lesson to join hands in the larger interests of the country.
