Police violence against teachers & students in front of Punjab assembly at the behest of CM Punjab

LAHORE, Dec 08 : Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi the senior central leader of the Pakistan Muslim League has strongly condemned today's violent police action against a group of teachers and students protesting in front of the Punjab Assembly building in Lahore against the Punjab government's education policies.

In a statement issued on here Wednesday, he alleged that the Punjab chief minister's silence over the barbaric incident is a proof of his tacit of giving free hand to the Lahore police for carrying out the shameful act. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has blamed the incumbent Punjab government of playing havoc with the education infrastructure of the province and for forcing the teachers and students to put down their pens and come out in protest against the Punjab government's extremely unjust and flawed education policies. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has assured the teachers and students of the province his unflinching support in their resistance against privatization of government owned colleges as this single step he has said will make college education inaccessible to the poor students.
