Pillion riding ban likely in Karachi during Muharram

Karachi : Only a few days after the government lifted 2-year long ban on pillion riding in Karachi, the Sindh home department is considering placing the ban, once again, from 1st to 12th of Muharram, sources said on Thursday.

According to the details, the plan is under consideration following the requests from the law enforcement agencies fearing surge in the incidents of targeted killings on sectarian grounds.

Sources close to the home department said the decision in this regard would likely to be made today.
